The name change is now official. The Weeks Major Midgets are no more, now they’ll be known as the Weeks Major U-18s.

Congratulations to Weeks Major U-18 players Landon Sim and Brayden Schmitt for being invited to Hockey Canada’s U-17 development camp.

The Hockey Hall of Fame announced on Wednesday afternoon that Jarome Iginla, Marian Hossa, Kevin Lowe and Doug Wilson were elected in the men’s player category. They will be joined in the Class of 2020 by Canadian female star goaltender Kim St. Pierre and three-time Stanley Cup winning GM Ken Holland in the builder category.

Tom Barrasso, Theoren Fleury, Alexander Mogilny and Keith Tkachuk were among the prominent candidates passed over again.
