The Red Sox topped the Blue Jays 10-7 in the first game. Top hitters for the Red Sox were Kate Langille with a triple and two doubles, Laura Turner with a triple and two singles while Jane Harnish and Samantha Sartoris chipped in with a double and single each.
The Cardinals behind Lisa James two run homer and single, Samantha MacDonald’s double and two singles and Morgan Purvis’s three singles paved the way for their 6-3 victory over the Orioles.
Mandy Dewar had a double and two singles and Tracy Brine’s had two singles to pace the Oriole attack.
Action continues next week at the Albion Field starting at 6:15 PM.
MLB:
In baseball the Blue Jays picked up a big with with a couple of late runs, they scored the tieing run in the bottom of the 9th and the winning run in the 10th to beat Cleveland 2-1.
NHL:
The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired forward David Clarkson and a 4th round pick from the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange goaltender Garret Sparks. Clarkson will go on the LTIR right away meaning the Leafs won’t face any penalties with the cap, it was just a way for them to get rid of Garret Sparks
