A Pictou County man has been charged with multiple offences after two collisions, one involving a stolen car, in Pictou and Colchester counties. It all began about 1:25pm on Friday when a driver refused a traffic stop in Stellarton and went the wrong way through a traffic circle before eventually striking another vehicle. Police say the driver ran off while three passengers were safely arrested. Police say the fleeing driver then stole a vehicle from a nearby parking lot and drove off. A couple of hours later, the stolen vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with a transport van in Bible Hill. The driver ran off again but was later located and arrested. A 33-year old Pictou County man is facing charges of Dangerous Driving; Robbery; Flight from Police; and Failure to Comply with Release Order.
